It is sweltering here in Florida… and it sounds like we’re not the only ones trying to stay cool this wildly hot summer!
What is there to do when it’s gorgeous and sunny outside yet too hot to be out and enjoy it? Well, I get a little fidgety and have to find something fun to do to make the days pass until the temperatures cool a bit. This week’s activity – get out the dye pots…
A nod to Autumn
When the weather is hot, I think of autumn as a mental cooldown. It’s coming folks, just a few more weeks! (Weeks sound better than months). Here’s just a taste of the colors I’ve been creating.
Mini-skein sets are a great way to try out new colors and techniques. Plus, they make for fun projects building custom fades or stripes. I also like having a well stocked stash of mini-skeins for contrast colors when I’m knitting piles of socks.
Yarn for the shop
The shop is currently in vacation mode, but will be back soon. I like updating on Etsy with ready-to-ship stock rather than made-to-order. If you’re like me, you find something you like and want it ASAP! I can get antsy and impatient waiting for my order (the curse of an Amazon world…) so I do try and list only items that are ready to ship to your doorstep once you’ve placed an order.
