Summer must haves… white sneakers & low cut Favorite Summer Socks! Because tan lines above the ankle are just not ideal 🙂

I feel like I solved a riddle with these…
I’ve been messing with sock maths for awhile now to find a way to knit a TRUE ankle sock that will stay put without a leg or ribbed cuff to keep it up.

My Year Round Shorty Socks pattern is awesome (and one heck of a bargain), but I felt the heel could be tweaked to fit as well whilst being as low under the ankle as possible.
Summer sun fans will get me on this, the lower the sock tan line at the ankle, the better!

Challenge accepted and success achieved! I love these little socks. And oh-my, that punch of color on the rolled cuff (no purling required, friends, just knit away). I used a 10g mini of Kelbourne Perennial, but any little leftovers will do.
Just a quick, fun, easy to pack and lovely to wear summer project. I also love that you can knit 2 pairs from a 100g skein of sock yarn. Thinking one for me, one for my bestie 🙂 Matching Mom and me socks 🙂 Summer reading book club pals 🙂 Oh, it’s just fun to share and match, I’m not sure that ever gets old (even if we do) !

Yarn: (cuff) Kelbourne Woolens Perennial 10g mini, color Neon Coral & (main) Spun Right Round Tough Sock, color Vixen
