The perfect lightweight cowl for Spring and Fall

The Wildflower Cottage Cowl knitting pattern is now available from my Ravelry store, Elise Marie Designs. It’s always exciting to share new patterns with other knitters, but this is the essential Keep Calm and Knit On project.
As joyful as this pattern is to knit, it is even better to wear. I was more of a scarf person before I really discovered the marvelous features of a cowl. So, if you are a scarf person just hear me out… cowls don’t keep coming undone, cowls don’t get stuck underneath you, cowls don’t get mangled around the strap of your bag… truly you need both scarves AND cowls. A cowl is also perfect for anyone who feels chilly indoors, it’s like a little blanket for your neck.
Beginner Friendly

Beginner knitters, this pattern is for you! Worked in the round with clear, written instructions for each row, you’ll have no problem following along. I include detailed instructions for melding the colors to make it appear seamless, flowing from color to color. The stitch detail instructions are also written for you to follow along in the 5 sections of this lovely knit.
Tips & Tricks
I include a couple tips in this pattern, but honestly it is a pattern you can just clear your mind from all the chaos and knit. The trick to the cohesiveness of colors is how you rotate them in switching. I’ve included two separate ways in the pattern to make it easy for you.
Show Off Lovely Yarns

You can read more on my post about the yarns I used here, but as you can see, this cowl really highlights the beauty of unique yarns. I love how speckled and tonal yarns come together. The sections of this pattern would also allow for 5 different yarns, or 3 yarns, or you could knit it all the same. Have fun with yarn, it’s the best part of relaxing knits and this pattern allows for easy customization.
Whether it’s the Wildflower Cottage Cowl or another relaxing knit, take some time out of your day, friends, enjoy some calm mind-space and relaxing knitting.
