I wanted to be sure to share with all of you here at WoolenCottage…
My Patreon page is gaining momentum and I’d love for you to come give it a try if you haven’t visited yet.
Beginning in September and going through December, I’ll be sharing a free pattern each month for all levels of membership. It’s my way of saying thank you to those who are on this journey with me.
In case you’re curious – the Sock level membership is just $5 and you’ll instantly receive access to the printable version of the Tiny Toes Baby Socks pattern. The next level up is the Sweater level for $10. That level instantly receives access to the Tiny Toes pattern and My Favorite DK Socks pattern as well.
So if you’re feeling the need for some knitting inspiration (and the patterns to go with it), consider coming over to Patreon to give it a go. 🙂

Love the orchard stroll mittens. I have made them before but the mind is not the same and I need to know how to use only 2 dpn’s- surely we need 3 needles plus the working needle? Just too tight to knit with only 2 dpn’s. I have trouble reading patterns- maybe I am interpreting directions incorrectly. I want to get these started- using gifted yarn from a special friend.

Hi Cherry – I usually use MagicLoop method for knitting in the round. MagicLoop uses a long circular and stitches are divided front and back.
You can absolutely use DPNs, I would use 5 total, 4 to hold the stitches and the 5th as your working needle. All the instructions I say about the front needle and back needle will just mean your front 2 needles and back 2 needles.
Hopefully that makes sense, but do let me know if you need anything further! ~Lisa
