Pattern Release for the Celtic Baby Socks
I’m beyond excited to share my new design, Celtic Baby Socks! The pattern became available today for these extra special little bootie socks. They feature a Celtic twisted cable pattern down the front and some added construction and pattern details on the leg to keep them snug on active tiny feet. You can find the Celtic Baby Socks pattern published in my Ravelry store: Elise Marie Designs.
Adventurous Beginner Friendly
The Celtic Baby Socks look extra fancy compared to an everyday pair, but don’t shy away from the complex look, they are not as complicated to knit as you may guess. I categorize this as perfect for the adventurous-beginner! If you’ve never knit a sock, I recommend you make a pair using my tutorial here first, just so you’re familiar with the construction. But if you’ve knit any socks before, you can definitely knit these with no trouble.
Tips, Tricks & Twisted Stitches
There are 2 fanciful twisted stitches that may be new to you included in the Celtic pattern. They create this showstopper detail without having to fiddle with a cable needle.
There are a few detailed sections to work through, but my patterns are always written row by row, so it’s easy to follow. You’ll refer to the pattern start to finish for the first sock, but you’ll quickly find a rhythm and will work through many other little sock-booties in no time.
Yarns
The Celtic Baby Sock pattern looks amazing in a solid or tonal yarn. I knit the sample for this pattern release in a variegated tonal yarn. It’s nice to see that the pattern is distinct enough for variegated and speckled yarns to also be used.
I hope you think theese are as adorable as I do! Find some beautiful yarn and knit a pair up for some lucky tiny feet. Share what you create, I love to see all of your knits.
